crafted dragonfly. with the added touch of a Gem quality natural Morenci turquoise stone. The contrasting textures and shading creates an amazing piece of art! The pendant measures 2" long by 1 7/8" wide. The Gem grade, natural Morenci stone measures 3/8" by 7/16". A beautiful heavy 20" sterling silver chain accompanies the pendant.
Born
on the Navajo Reservation, Darryl Dean Begay was raised in the
traditional Navajo way of life. He is from a family of artists; his
grandmother was a weaver and his grandfather a ceremonial sandpainter.
It is from this background that his art emerges, creating one-of-a-kind,
limited edition jewelry pieces in sterling silver and gold.
He
has exhibited his work and won awards at many shows, including the
Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Market, Pueblo Grande Indian
Market, the Wheelwright Museum, and the Eight Northern Pueblos Show.
Darryl has become one of the most recognized Navajo artists of his time!
