This is just a
beautifully crafted bracelet with exquisite craftsmanship. The hand cut
stone is gem grade webbed Lone Mountain turquoise from Nevada. The stone is
set in a smooth bezel and framed with an elaborate design of silver, featuring Fred's “bumble bee” designed stamp. Fine
stamp work graces both sides if the shank. The quality of the craftsmanship along with the use of top
materials and a number of recognizable details confirms the work of master
Navajo silversmith and lapidarian, Fred Peshlakai (1896-1972).
The bracelet has an
inner circumference of 5 3/8” end-to-end with a 1” gap between terminals
for a total interior circumference of 6 3/8”. It is in excellent original condition. The bracelet is not hallmarked
which was common during this time period, but we are confident attributing this work
to that of Fred Peshlakai.
