Joe Herrera Quintana (1915-1991) is considered by many to be
one of the true master silversmiths of the 20th century. Learning
metal work during WWII, after the war he returned to his home in the Cochiti Pueblo and began
his career in jewelry making. He apprenticed with well-known jeweler Frank
Patania and worked in a number of shops in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque NM.
This beautifully crafted design is surrounding a gorgeous webbed #8 turquoise stone. The perfect size for either a man or woman. A beautiful deep satin patina graces the entire piece. The bracelet measures 1 5/8" wide. The inside is 5 3/4", with a 7/8" opening. Hallmarked with 1950's era mark.
