This Chop Kachina was carved and signed by world renowned Hopi carver Jimmy Kewanwytewa. It measures 15 1/4" tall by 4 1/2" wide. He is in excellent condition, with no cracks or broken parts. Signed JK on the bottom right foot.
The Antelope Kachina appears in the Plaza Dance either as a group in the Line Dance or as an individual in the mixed dance. He represents a herbivorous animal and makes the rain come and the grass grow. He usually dances with a cane held in both hands (Chop Kachina).
