This wonderful set is the work of well-know Hopi artist Morris Robinson. Morris Robinson (Talawytewa) was born at Oraibi. He began his career in Phoenix AZ in the early 1920's and continued his silversmithing, until retiring in 1963. He working at several different Indian Jewelry stores in Arizona, where his pieces became highly desired by collectors. He used his personally crafted stamps, creating intricate and amazing designs.
This large cuff, pendant and pin offer the best of Morris Robinson's amazing abilities as an artist and also vintage pieces of history. The set has beautiful petrified wood stones with wonderful silver rain drops and twist wire surrounding each piece. Small stamped side panels add the final touch. Nice and heavy!
The center of the cuff measures 2 1/2" wide, tapering to 1/2" at bottom terminals. Inside is a 5 1/2 with a 1 1/8" opening. The pin measures 2 1/8" by 1 1/2". The pendant measures 1 7/8" by 1 1/4". The cuff is hallmarked with Morris's snake and H. Excellent condition.
