This lovely cast silver
Yei and turquoise naja was made by Navajo silversmith Ambrose Lincoln
(1917-1989). Ambrose was a teacher at the Santa Fe Indian School in 1942. He
was an award-winning silversmith and worked with Trader C.G. Wallace, and Trader
Charles Kelsey in Zuni, NM. Ambrose Lincoln was also a veteran of WWII and died
in 1989. His work is always well made and is a wonderful addition to any
collection.
This Naja measures 2” wide by 2 1/8” tall. There
is an open hook for a chain along with the pin. This piece is signed with his
unique hallmark, an A inside a keystone shape.
