Arthur Lewis was a Native
Choctaw Indian who’s Choctaw name was Neetha Loosa, (meaning Black Bear). He
began working as a
silversmith in 1929. His work was both traditional, figure designs and very
creative.
This beautiful bracelet has a
standing Kachina and features 13 Natural Bisbee turquoise stones that are flat
set-in smooth bezels. The shanks are carinated and hold the figure on a heavy
plate with very nice ornaments on the side split shanks. A wonderful patina
graces the entire bracelet. His pieces are so very detailed, with a three-dimensional design. Quite stunning on! Hallmarked with his Teepee and Arrow.
The bracelet measures 2 3/8" across the center. The inside measures 6" with a 1 1/4" opening. Can be slightly adjusted.
