Top grade Blue Star (Widow Maker) turquoise set in a gold bezel and hand crafted by Navajo artist, Darryl Dean Begay. This lovely ring features tufa casting with soft texture and is the perfect presentation for this amazing webbed stone, sitting in a high 18k gold bezel. The ring measures 3/4" wide and is a size 9 1/4. The beautiful stone measures 1/2" by 1/2". Hallmarked! Just an outstanding one-of-a-kind piece! Note: white area on stone is light reflection.
Born on the Navajo Reservation, Darryl Dean Begay was raised in the traditional Navajo way of life. He is from a family of artists; his grandmother was a weaver and his grandfather a ceremonial sandpainter. It is from this background that his art emerges, creating one-of-a-kind, limited edition jewelry pieces in sterling silver and gold.
Darryl
has exhibited his work and won awards at many shows, including the
Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Market, Pueblo Grande Indian
Market, the Wheelwright Museum, and the Eight Northern Pueblos Show. Darryl has become one of the most recognized Navajo artists of his time!
