Description

This amazing combination of gold, mediterranean coral and webbed Apache blue turquoise is beautifully crafted in this ring by Navajo artist Darryl Dean Begay. The 18K gold tufa cast band features dragonflies. Flawless casting with defined raised textures adds the final touch to this lovely ring. Hallmarked and 18K. The face of the ring is 1/2" wide by 1 5/8" long. The band is 5/8" tapering to 5/16". The size is a 7.

Born on the Navajo Reservation, Darryl Dean Begay was raised in the traditional Navajo way of life. He is from a family of artists; his grandmother was a weaver and his grandfather a ceremonial sandpainter. It is from this background that his art emerges, creating one-of-a-kind, jewelry pieces in sterling silver and gold.

Darryl has exhibited his work and won awards at many shows, including the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Market, Pueblo Grande Indian Market, the Wheelwright Museum, and the Eight Northern Pueblos Show. Darryl has become one of the most recognized Navajo artists of his time!
