Joe Herrera Quintana (1915-1991) is considered by many to be one of the true master silversmiths of the 20^th century. Learning metal work during WWII, after the war he returned to his home in the Cochiti Pueblo and began his career in jewelry making. He apprenticed with well-known jeweler Frank Patania and worked in a number of shops in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque NM.

This beautiful design is surrounding a gorgeous turquoise stone. The perfect size for either a man or woman. A beautiful satin patina graces the entire piece. The pendant measures 3" long x 2 3/16" wide, including bail. The hand crafted link chain is 24" long. 67.6 grams. Hallmarked JHQ twice.
