This pretty bracelet was handcrafted by well-known Hopi artist Lewis Lomay. c: (1913-1996). He began his career in jewelry in 1930's and worked for a long period of time with Frank Patania Sr. in Santa Fe NM. His designs were both traditional Hopi with a touch of European influence at times. His work is highly collectable, as well it should be. Hallmarked with his Snake. This hallmark is one of his early 1940's mark. The Snake only is on the outside, on the bottom terminal. So comfortable on the wrist!
The lovely twist wire design with its deep patina on the silver adds to the beauty of this bracelet. The 3 twist wires are all nicely blended together towards the end of the terminals. The bracelet measures 3/4" wide to the end of the terminals. The inside measures 5 1/2" with a 1 1/16" opening.
