Hopi artist Hubert Howytewa (1965-1991) crafted this beautiful overlay ketoh that features an incredible, Natural turquoise stone that is set in a smooth bezel. A beautiful overly design make is a fantastic piece. The Navajo as a form of wrist protection originally created the classic ketoh for hunter. It would guard the lower arm from being hit by the bowstring once the arrow was released.
The silver portion
measuring 4" long by 2 1/2" wide. A leather can be added upon request. Bow guards are now worn by both men and women as
bracelets.
