This lovely bracelet is the work of well-known Hopi artist Morris Robinson. Morris Robinson (Talawytewa) was born at Oraibi. He began his career in Phoenix AZ in the early 1920's and continued his silversmithing, until retiring in 1963. He worked at several different Indian Jewelry stores in Arizona, where his pieces became highly desired by collectors. He used his personally crafted stamps, creating intricate and amazing designs.
This lovely cuff offers the best of Morris Robinson's amazing abilities as an artist and also a vintage piece of history. The cuff is set with a beautiful, petrified wood stone and has a perfectly placed silver rain drops with an array of beautiful stamp work on the entire piece.
The center of the cuff measures 1 1/2" wide, tapering to 1/2" at bottom terminals. The inside measures 5 1/2" with a 1" opening. Nice heavier weight. The cuff is hallmarked with Morris's snake and H. Excellent condition.
