This rough material is from the family of I. B.
Phillips Jr., who was the mines General Superintendent at the Duval Corporation
- NEW YEAR'S - SIERRITA - ESPERANZA mine from 1954 to 1963 when he retired. It
is solid, Natural material that will produce many nice stones. We would
like to keep it in bag parcels, as graded. Very clean, cuttable material with
all the beauty and characteristics of the old Kingman! This material has some quartz, but has many solid turquoise areas for cabbing. Some have pyrite also. A few are birdseye or water webbed.
Approximate sizes are 4” wide x 2 3/4" wide x 1” thick vein
largest and 1 3/4” wide x 1 1/2" wide x 1” thick vein smallest (solid nugget). Note: the last picture contains (all of this material prior to dividing) and was
taken inside, under natural lighting I use for my pictures, with the material
being sprayed with water. The first 2 pictures are the (divided parcel of this rough material) taken outside in the sun light and the material is totally dry.
