Description

Zuni artist Andrew Dewa was active from1960's until his death in 2001. He was best known for his figural mosaic inlay and his sun-face motif. This beautifully made Zuni Shalako dancer bolo is set with turquoise, carved jet, Mother of Pearl, coral, yellow lip shell and abalone shell. Parts of the figure are his distinct raised mosaic design. The detail throughout this bolo is a wonderful example of one of Zuni's most talented artists. Hallmarked, A. Dewa

The bolo measures 6" tall by 2 3/8" wide with 3 1/4" silver drum tips. The black braided leather with tips total length is 49" long. It appears an extra length of braided leather cord was added and can be changed upon request, as it is quite long.
