Rare Amos Edaakie Pooacha inlaid figure pendant. Little is known on the history of him or when he began making jewelry. d: 2014 Putting together the history of the Edaakie families in Zuni, we have placed this wonderful pendant having been made in the late 1970's/80's.
Amos was best known for his mosaic inlay. Beautifully done and very well crafted. The silver work is also very nice. The use of so many beautiful materials in this piece, along with a perfect tiny shell that pokes out on the side of the headdress. Each black jet line is also inlaid. The pendant has some weight of 54 grams. It is a striking piece on! Hallmarked A Zuni P.
It measures, 3 3/4" tall, including the bail x 2 3/8" wide. A silver chain can be purchased upon request.
