This lovely Pueblo necklace by renowned bead maker Ray Lovato features Natural water-webbed high grade Kingman turquoise heishi. A great deal of hard work goes into the making of these type necklaces, with each bead being hand rolled. The smooth, carefully shaped, graduated heishi is the work of a master at his craft. It is just beautiful on! The necklace is 19 1/2" long total length.
Ray Lovato
is an award winning Santo Domingo artist who is best known for his beautiful handmade
heishi beads. Ray began learning the art form from his parents at the age of
11. Ray’s work brought him great recognition, with awards at the Santa Fe
Indian Market, and his work being presented in several publications. Mr. Lovato
is one of a few artists still representing the long history of the Pueblo’s and
their fine hand turned Heishi turquoise beads.
This necklace is all Native American hand crafted and is not foreign made, dyed or treated heishi from overseas.
