Description

This striking sterling silver Roy Tawahongva Hopi bolo is marked with the Hopcraft's shop hallmark HC. The Hopicraft shop was open from 1962 until 1983. A privately owned business by two Hopi brothers, Wayne and Emory Sekaqualtewa whom later move their business from Phoenix to Kykotsmovi. The jewelry produced at the shop was always well-made, with very close attention to the clean, fine detail of each piece. Competition brought on by the quality being produced at Hopicraft shop helped improve quality of all Hopi jewelry being made during this period.

This lovely bolo displays the fine detail work found with all of the Hopi Craft overlay designs. Crafted with heavy silver and the open loop back with a black braided leather. Hallmark with RT,
and the HC for Hopi Craft.

It measures 2" long by 1 5/8" wide. The tips are heavy silver and are 2 1/2" long.
