Description

This beautiful, sterling silver box with a stunning Zuni inlaid Rainbowman figure was crafted in the 1940's. This lovely box features gorgeous detailed silver work that is attributed to the work of Ike Wilson. Many of these early boxes were designed by a Navajo silversmith and then the addition of Zuni designed figures were included with the final finishing of the box. Heavy silver with an easy to open hinged top adds the final touches to this lovely box. A deep patina graces the entire box. A wonderful addition to any collection.

Ike Wilson worked with trader C.G. Wallace. His life span was 1901 to 1942. He along with Hosteen Goodluck and Teddy Weahkee created and built stamps for Mr. Wallace.

The box measures 4 3/4" long by 2 7/8" wide by 7/16" deep. The center rainbowman figure measures 3" long by 1 5/8" wide. This box is not hallmark.
