Description

This beautiful, sterling silver box with a stunning Zuni inlaid Knifewing figure was crafted in the 1950's. This lovely box features beautifully detailed silver work and stampwork on 4 sides and the top. Many of these early boxes were designed by a Navajo silversmith and then the addition of Zuni designed figures were included with the final finishing of the box. Heavy silver with an easy to open hinged top adds the final touches to this lovely box. A wonderful addition to any collection.

The box measures 2 13/16" long by 2 1/4" wide by 15/16" deep. The center knifewing figure measures 1 3/4" long by 1 1/2" wide. This box has etched initials that appear to be a P.N., which could be a traders code or hallmark.
